Matters and court tracking

Each matter holds its whole journey through the courts: the first-instance case, the appeal and the cassation, each with its own court case number and your role in it.

  • Hearings with type, room or link, attending lawyer and outcome. A hearing left without an outcome is flagged the next day.
  • Deadlines computed from the judgment or notification date by rules your firm sets: appeal window, cassation window, limitation.
  • A record of who last checked the court portal and when, with a reminder once a live proceeding goes 7 days unchecked.
  • Opponents, opposing counsel, witnesses and experts on every matter, with conflict and KYC status on the client.

Important items come to you

The home page opens on what needs action today. Each count links to a filtered list, so nothing waits on someone remembering to look.

  • An agenda for the working week, Sunday to Thursday, with overdue deadlines on top.
  • Overdue deadlines, hearings with no outcome, stale portal checks, late instalments and unsigned fee agreements.
  • Three views: your own work, your team's matters, or the whole firm for partners.

Fee agreements and VAT tax invoices

Billing follows the way Bahraini firms already work: one signed agreement for the full fee, then a numbered document for every payment showing what is left to pay.

  • Bilingual fee agreements with scope and payment terms in Arabic and English, and instalments if agreed.
  • A "fee includes VAT" tick box. Type one amount and Meezan works out the VAT and the total to the fils.
  • Each payment issues a tax invoice with gap-free numbering, the VAT on the amount paid and the remaining balance.
  • Appeals and extra work get their own agreement on the same matter. Mistakes are voided with a reason, never deleted.

PDPL compliance and security

Client data is held in Bahrain, encrypted, and every access is recorded. The records Bahrain's Personal Data Protection Law asks of you are kept as part of the daily work, not in a separate spreadsheet.

  • Consent per processing purpose, with lawful basis, notice version, channel and evidence.
  • Data subject requests to access, rectify, erase or object, each with a due date.
  • Sharia, family and criminal matters marked sensitive automatically and hidden from anyone outside the matter team.
  • CPR and passport numbers and every document encrypted. Multi-factor sign-in and an audit log of each view, download and export.

Documents and tasks

Pleadings, judgments, powers of attorney and evidence live on the matter they belong to, filed against the right proceeding. The work they create is assigned and tracked in the same place.

  • Every version kept, with who uploaded it and a checksum to prove it has not changed.
  • Arabic, English or bilingual documents, marked standard, privileged or sensitive, with legal hold when needed.
  • Share a single document with a colleague for a set time, without opening the whole matter.
  • Tasks raised from hearings and deadlines, assigned with a priority and a due time, and ticked off from the home page.

Arabic and English, done properly

Each person works in the language they prefer. Clients receive agreements and invoices in both.

Full right-to-left layout

The whole interface mirrors in Arabic, with type set for Arabic legal text rather than squeezed into an English layout.

Numbers as courts issue them

Case numbers, CR numbers, dates and amounts in Western digits in both languages, aligned in tables.

Bilingual print pages

Fee agreements, tax invoices and statements print with both languages side by side, ready to save as PDF.

BHD to three decimals

Every amount is kept and printed to the fils, so totals on paper match totals in the system.
